Preston Street Coffee is a relaxed neighborhood café tucked into Como’s quiet streets, offering a straightforward but satisfying coffee experience. This spot fits well with the suburb’s easygoing atmosphere, making it a choice destination for locals seeking a peaceful start to their day or a calm place to work or catch up.

The coffee here leans into classic Australian favorites, with reliable picks like flat whites, matcha lattes, and long macchiatos standing out. The drinks tend to have good depth and balanced flavours that appeal to both casual drinkers and those who appreciate a well-crafted cup. Complementing the coffee, the food selections—such as bagels and light toasters—are served fresh enough to feel like a small but thoughtful accompaniment rather than full meals.

Early mornings through mid-afternoon are prime times to visit, when natural light fills the room and the vibe settles into a quiet hum. Whether you’re setting up a laptop for some focused work or meeting a friend for a casual coffee date, the café’s laid-back pacing and cozy plant-filled interior create an inviting backdrop. Outdoor seating with picnic blankets extends that comfort onto the street, allowing visitors to enjoy a more open, relaxed experience on weekends or sunny days.

Staff at Preston Street Coffee add to the welcoming local feel, offering attentive service that makes the place feel lived-in and familiar rather than overly polished or distant. It’s a spot that suits anyone looking for a calm, unhurried coffee break in a peaceful part of town—ideal for solo routines or low-key gatherings where genuine conversation and the quality of the coffee take center stage.

This is a lovely chill little cafe with a great vibe and in a great area. They have good coffee here and the menu has the traditional assortment of coffee alternatives and transformations. The ones Ive tried so far have been good - nothing to complain about! The food in the cabinet is good quality, and while I still crave freshly prepared food, their toasters and bagels are actually really good and worth a try. Salmon bagel was great! It’s not the biggest venue so it definitely can’t accommodate a huge party but for a spot to visit for a meeting with a couple of people it’s pretty ideal. All of the staff could not be more friendly and are always keen to help make your experience better. Worth a shot if you’re a coffee lover! Definitely the best coffee spot on Preston St in my opinion.

A charming neighborhood gem that feels very cozy and inviting for the local community. They even have outdoor seating with picnic blankets, which makes it feel very relaxed and friendly. The staff are wonderful and they always make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. It is a perfect spot for a leisurely morning in a very peaceful part of town

Laid-back Como cafe with a plant-filled charm. The coffee had good depth, and the bowl balanced well. Suited the suburb's easy pace nicely. Natural light made it pleasant. Fits right into weekend plans
